Espresso Financial's general ledger provides you with a powerful
financial management tool from which you can access a wealth of
financial information. The chart of accounts is set-up in a graphical
tree structure, with folders as headings and subtotals for each
folder.
The general ledger numbering mechanism and format is up to you
and you can set up an unlimited number ledger codes and ledger folders.
There is also no limit to the number of levels.

The same screen has a filtering option to quickly select a major
branch of the General Ledger Tree. Or you can select the Balance
Sheet or Profit and Loss filters to produce instant on-screen financial
statements. And by clicking the Print button you get the corresponding
report on paper.
|
Espresso Financials also has a powerful Campaign, CostCentre
and Segment Code filtering capability. These optional codes
are great for the complete financial analysis of marketing
campaigns or Cost Centres and Departments within your organisation.
Because these codes are stored with every Ledger Posting any
analysis that can be done on the General Ledger can also be
summarised by these codes or a combination of them.
You can also filter the view by currency and you can consolidate
all postings to any desired currency.

view of the business"

And if you're not an accountant and you have always been mystified
how transactions get translated into financial statements then you
will appreciate Espresso Financials GL tab, which shows the actual
Ledger postings for any transaction. Even for the qualified accountants
this screen acts as a handy tool to check that postings are correct.
