Espresso's general ledger provides you with a powerful
financial management tool from which you can access a wealth of
financial information. The chart of accounts is set-up in a graphical
tree structure, with folders as headings and subtotals for each
folder.

The same screen has a filtering option to quickly select a major
branch of the General Ledger Tree. Or you can select the Balance
Sheet or Profit and Loss filters to produce instant on-screen financial
statements. And by clicking the Print button you get the corresponding
report on paper.
|
Espresso has three user-definable analysis codes that can
be used to further filter the general ledger, providing
instantaneous business intelligence analysis of your key
analysis categories. (in the example above they are
labelled CmS, CS, SS). You can also filter the view by currency and you can consolidate
all postings to any desired currency.
Via the transaction drill-down button you can quickly
list all transactions that contribute to the general ledger.

Transparency and visibility are key
paradigms in the design of Espresso. With sufficient user
rights, every transaction screen has tabs to clearly show how other
parts of your company records are affected. These tabs show
information such as GL Postings, matchings, inventory postings and
effects on other transactions.
