In addition to a wealth of standard financial and accounting reports,
Espresso Financials has a powerful query analysis and report builder
tool allowing a limitless array of customised reports that can be
created.
The query analysis tool presents the user with an incredibly simple
interface offering a vast array of data analysis possibilities.
All the complex links between data entities such as customers and
invoices are automatically taken care of. Having obtained the result
data you can use the report builder to design a customised report.
The query and report can be saved and re-run at any time. You can
also specify runtime criteria for the user to select when the report
runs.
Of course because Espresso Financial's data is stored in Microsoft
SQL Server, there are a multitude of third party analysis and reporting
tools available to generate reports, not to mention Microsoft's
Office products including Access, Word and Excel. With such an extensive
array of reporting options it makes you wonder why so many accounting
programs are restricted to proprietary data formats with limited
reporting capabilities.
Unlike many UNIX and DOS based systems, the report builder interface
takes full advantage of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
It has a simple drag and drop interface for placing text, data fields,
summary fields, calculations and summary calculations. And all text
can be formatted using standard windows fonts and attributes. So
why put up with ugly verbose text reports that spit out on reams
of paper.

Customised queries and reports can also be created for any of the
control screens that list transactions, customers and suppliers.
Furthermore there is an easy export utility to extract the results
into an export data file.
