Espresso Financials has unparalleled Ease Of Use. You really need
to try Espresso Financials to see what we mean by ease of use. All
functions and modules are fully integrated into the one program.
There is a logical menu system. Our proprietary "Smart-Move"
technology allows users to glide through data entry screens just
by using the arrow keys on the keyboard. You can enter transactions
on one single screen without having to pop-up multitudes of windows
just to add extra line items. And our Multi-Document Interface with
Accounting Task Bar makes it so easy to work with multiple transaction
windows.

Dare we say it? Yes, after giving it a try, you might even think
Espresso Financials is enjoyable to use. That's not a term you often
hear in association with accounting software. But of course that's
the way it should be.
Finding Transactions is a snap with
Espresso Financials
Probably the worst trait of most accounting systems is their poor
transaction filtering and searching capabilities. After all, what
is the good of keying in information if you can't find it again?
Espresso Financials offers a simple search and filtering function
to allow fast locating of transactions. And if you still can't find
the transaction this way then Espresso Financials offers a very
powerful query engine.

What if you don't know the original Transaction Reference or exactly
when the transaction was entered and you are not sure about the
customer name? Perhaps the only thing you know for sure is the stock
code they purchased. In these cases Espresso Financials Query Engine
is an indispensable tool.
You can even save your queries with runtime parameters for future
use. For example you could build a query to find all transactions
for customers whose name starts with "B", who spend more
than $50, in a runtime specified period and who purchased a "Pitching
Machine" product. Click
here to see this example.
Security
Every single menu item and every type of transaction can be password
controlled. Rather than being 'greyed-out' the options will disappear
completely from view if a user does not have access.
Reliable Industry Standard Data
Format
Unlike many vendors Espresso Financials uses an industry standard
data storage medium (being Microsoft's SQL Server). It is hard to
believe that there are so many financial management systems that
use an inaccessible proprietary file format. It is even harder to
understand why any company would want to place all their valuable
financial information inside such a package. In doing so companies
become "locked in" to the application since it may be
very difficult if not impossible to extract their financial data
and move it to a competitor's product.
With a proprietary data format you can't use any third party reporting
or analysis packages. With Espresso Financials there are a plethora
of reporting and analysis tools that can read MS SQL Server data
files, not to mention the entire Microsoft range of office tools.
Finally there is a real concern for the reliability of the data.
Typically Financial Applications with Non Industry Standard data
formats have a Data Rebuild or Repair function in the menu. This
means that their data occasionally becomes damaged or inconsistent.
Espresso Financials doesn't have such an option because this just
doesn't happen. Microsoft's SQL Server with full transaction commit
and rollback support is that reliable. End of story!
Configurable Dual Periods
Espresso Financials has a range of periods including automatically
calculating and configurable weekly periods, fortnightly, monthly
and quarterly periods. Also Espresso Financials stores dual periods
(a standard period and a summary period for every transaction).
This allows for powerful period or summary period analysis. For
example if your period basis is weekly then a summary monthly period
is also automatically calculated for every transaction.
Open Period Ledger Posting
Many accounting systems (like MYOB for instance) have time consuming
period-end or year-end routines, which often destroy the valuable
data you have created.
Instead Espresso Financials keeps a full, unlimited history of
all transactions ever created. End of period balances and account
activity are all maintained in real time.
This means that you can search for, view and print historical transactions
and run reports from any previous period or year. Imagine being
able to draw upon the rich history of data for analysis and comparison.
Matching
It is not uncommon for customers choose to pay a particular invoice
rather than the oldest one. Once allocated this matching information
is often hidden in other accounting systems. With Espresso Financial's
Matching Tab you can always see how a payment was matched to an
invoice and vice versa. And by double clicking on the matched transaction
you can view the matched transaction.
Espresso Financials has an automatic matching function, which can
be overridden for individual transactions. You can even keep track
of payment matchings to individual line items with the Match Detail
button. Click
here to see an example.
Batch Processing
Using Espresso Financials, companies that process extremely high
volumes of data can group transactions into batches for bulk processing.
There is also a number of special bulk processing functions such
as order invoicing, banking, reminder letters, statement processing
and return processing for replacements and refunds.
Built for Microsoft Windows
Espresso Financials has
been engineered to take full advantage of the latest Microsoft Windows
Operating Systems. Because Espresso is specifically built for
Windows it has powerful time saving features like a standard Windows
menu systems, Toolbars, Multi Document Interface and Tree Structures
for stock and the GL. Also your users will instantly be familiar
with its modern Windows look and feel. More importantly it supports
all Windows fonts and print formatting.
