Rollout of Installation and Implementation
For multi-site businesses with many branches a web based
installation solution provides a simple mechanism for rapidly
installing the Espresso software across all sites. Once
installed, Espresso's multi-site technologies can be used to greatly
simplify data migration tasks. Data common to all sites gets
imported once and broadcast. Similarly any data manipulation
scripts to adjust erroneous data from prior systems can be corrected
en-masse across all sites with ease. Importing or correcting
data at individual sites can be performed remotely with ease using
Espresso's remote access technology.
Upgrading
Keeping Espresso up to date with the latest version is extremely
simple with the whole process fully automated over the internet.
Using Espresso's multi site technologies upgrades are broadcast to
all Espresso sites via the Espresso upgrade system.
Upgrades can include a variety of modular updates including:
Espresso Client Interfaces, Server Components, Customisations, Data
Structure Changes, Bulk Data Updates or Recalculations.
Most updates can be applied while users are using the system.
Customising
The Espresso system can be customised in many different ways.
Some customisations are managed in the user interface without
programming (eg system settings, screen layouts, user defined
fields, import specifications, queries, reports etc.). Other
customisations might come from custom programming (eg totally custom
built screens, popup tools, DLLs, PDA Interfaces, Website Interfaces
etc).
For all types of customisations Espresso has the facility to
apply the customisation once and have it broadcast to all sites.
You can even use Espresso to broadcast 3rd party files and patches
to all sites.
As with standard espresso updates most customised updates can be
applied while users are using the system.
System Monitoring
The Espresso system provides real-time remote monitoring of
server stability information such as system errors, internet
connectivity, user errors, user logins, user process logging,
processing performance and free hard drive space.
